Beginning with the 2024 subscription year, we have updated the title of this product to The CSE Manual: Scientific Style and Format Online.

For your budget planning, rates for the 2024 calendar subscription year are listed below and can be downloaded as a PDF here or in Excel here.

Institutions and Corporations: 2023 rates remain in effect until December 31, 2023. Fall 2023 renewals for the 2024 calendar year will be billed at the 2024 rate. 2024 rates are effective January 1, 2024.

Individuals and Groups: New rates are effective October 1, 2023.

Small-Group Subscriptions

The CSE Manual Online is available to small businesses and user groups of 2 to 50 people by annual subscription. Pricing is per group member and determined by the total number of users. Institutional Subscriptions

The CSE Manual Online is available to academic, private, and public libraries through annual IP-based subscriptions. Institutions will need to register an IP address or an IP range for user authentication.

Chicago's tiered pricing structure takes research output as the key criterion and is based on the Carnegie Classification System whenever possible. To check the classification of an institution, contact csemanual@uchicago.edu. Short–term free trial subscriptions are also available for product testing purposes. Subscriptions include access to the full contents of the 9th and 8th editions.

Enterprise site licenses are available to business corporations with more than 50 users. Tiered pricing is based on corporation size and the number of Full–Time Equivalents or FTEs. Subscribers receive unlimited access to The CSE Manual Online within the IP ranges they provide.
